This machine might get overloaded during the semester so you should avoid it. As of this semester, the Systems group no longer provides physical Linux machines, only Virtual Machines. For a list of Virtual Machines, see below. You can log into those via SSH or virtual desktops (probably especially useful for the Windows users among you).

Using VDI for GUI apps on the Linux Cluster:
The College supports remote access to a GUI environment on Linux via VDI Desktops. In principle, this page suffices but read the notes below to get directly to the point:
Your best option is to install the VM Horizon client.
Once you have the client, you can access the College’s Linux boxes, which temporarily makes your desktop act like a Linux desktop.
